Our goal is not only to gain experience as farmers, but to one day run our own farm where we can supply the community with products from our farm.
I am a full time market/wholesale farmer. I have served on the board of directors of the New South Produce Cooperative. Led aggregating 28 farms’ production and selling it from Fayetteville to Memphis. I farm using no-till principles using high intensity planting in 30 inch beds
Admittedly, I am a total beginner to this. I want to apprentice under someone, and learn all that I can about farming, working with the land, understanding the business side of running a farm — I want to immerse myself in this.
I have worked on a few small organic, bio-dynamic farms for short periods of time. I’v taken a permaculture design course six years ago. I have also taken a couple plant bio and gardening classes and I will be taking the applied farming class at Brightwater in Bentonville fall 2019.
My farming vision includes a variety of operational practices to demonstrate regenerative agriculture practices and establish an income through contracts and partnerships.
As a descendant of multiple farmers, I am truly passionate about providing food throughout our community.
